A must – try in Maheshwar is the world – famous Dal Baafla Thali at the centuries – old Banke Bihari Mandir at Narmada Marg in Maheshwar. Dal Baafla is a unique dish that has been served in this bhojanalaya since 1858 (baati made of makki ka atta is served with a mildly spiced dal (made of tur dal)).
The other accompaniments are kadhi, roti, sabzi, paneer curry, salad, pickle and sweet.
