Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Mandir, Karanwas, Bulandshahr District, Uttar Pradesh

Located in a densely wooded area by the Devatraya Ghat on the banks of the Ganga River in the ancient city of Karanwas is the extremely rare Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Temple. As the name suggests, this temple has twelve Shiva Lingas named after the sacrosanct Jyotirlingas built in one line along with the pradhana (main) temple of Lord Shankar.

The scenic beauty of this place with its sweet-smelling flowers, birds chirping and fruit-bearing trees reminds one of a Rishi ashram in the olden times. Locals say that centuries-ago many yogistapasvis and siddha purushas used to meditate here.

The tranquillity and spiritual potency of this place is to experienced to be believed.
